It’s hard to believe we’ve been at this for 5 years now. A little determined eh?! No matter how long it’s taken to get here, what’s important is that we’re getting ‘there’. And by ‘there’, I mean production!
Last week, I purchased 3 rolls of nearly 40 square yards of denim from Candiani Denim in Milan, Italy, and as I type this, these rolls have already made their way thru Köln, Germany to Louisville, Kentucky, and soon to us all the way down here in Cochabamba, Bolivia.
With this amount of denim, we’ll be going into our very first round of production, and will be able to build 25 pairs of men’s bell-bottom jeans in the following sizes:
- 5 pairs of 30Wx32L = 76.2 cm waist, 81.3 cm inseam/length
- 5 pairs of 32Wx30L = 81.3 cm waist, 76.2 cm inseam/length
- 5 pairs of 32Wx32L = 81.3 cm waist, 81.3 cm inseam/length
- 5 pairs of 34Wx30L = 86.4 cm waist, 76.2 cm inseam/length
- 5 pairs of 34Wx32L = 86.4 cm waist, 81.3 cm inseam/length
Hopefully, we’ll be getting started within just the next few weeks, so that they can be ready for sale/delivery by the holidays.
To help promote the FUZZera brand, I’ve enlisted the help of one of my favorite rock bands EVER, and though I can’t yet publicly divulge who they are, (from Sweden, they’ve got 7 record albums, 4,640 YouTube Subscribers, and 115,000 Facebook subscribers, and their own awesome documentary film…) I am SUPER excited to say that their bassist/vocalist and their guitarist are both IN! The deal is that they’ll each get a free pair of FUZZera bell-bottom jeans, and if they like them, they’ll be sending me their personal testimonials with photos and or videos that we’ll be able to use to help spread the word. How cool is that!?!?
I received what turned out to be my final FUZZera Jeans prototype two weeks ago, and I wore them almost every day, all day, that entire week, and they felt and looked FANTASTIC! So to say that I am excited about finally going into production is definitely an understatement. I can hardly wait for others to try these babies on and enjoy them as much as I have been.
Next up is building out our little online e-commerce store, arranging for fulfillment services in the USA, opening up the sales channels, and a gazillion other little details in order to tie everything together and bring FUZZera to market.
